Back in 1998, I found myself tired with the day to day grind and needed something new. I have always enjoyed working with my hands and I had been studying the old west cowboys. One day I stopped into the Tandy Leather store hoping to find something I could do with my hands and that had to do with the old west. This started my journey working with leather and making cowboy gear.

On my first trip, I picked up enough leather and tools to make my first set of cowboy cuffs. I left them on display at a cowboy equipment store to be sold on consignment. And what do you know – they sold! The store owner took several pairs on consignment and sold those as well. The rest, as they say, is history.

In 2002, I retired and I have been able to turn my part-time hobby into an everday experience. Today, Madri Leatherworks cowboy cuffs have been sold all over the USA and in Europe.
